We’re very concerned about the increasing private equity and corporate ownership of US veterinary practices. We believe the trend of consolidation we already see, that will only continue if left unchecked, will have increasingly negative effects for US pet owners and their beloved pets. Relative to human healthcare, the effects will be much more pronounced due to the lack of regulation that establishes consumer protections, corporate liability and quality of care.
